No. 31: Why?

January 29th 2009 18:53
Which way?

Could someone name one person who feels our country is better off by redistributing the taxpayers' wealth to ACORN? It is reported throughout the MSM that eight thousand, five hundred times a million dollars ($8,500,000,000) is the amount you and I are now responsible to give these people. WHY? Is there any possible payback involved? If they registered Mickey Mouse and dead people, what is the cost per body?

Our U.S. Constitution empowered the Federal government with oversight of defense and interstate activities promoting the general welfare of the states. It specifically states that no power, not spelled out in its words, would be granted to the Federal government, but the remaining authority would be left to the states. Like many, I have read this document over and over and still have not seen wherein one can glean the right to give away our monies this way. Have you?

It is not just ACORN. I will grant you, my gut is particularly perplexed at this giveaway, since we all know they are under investigation for multiple fraudulent activities. It is the monies to banks, insurance companies, brokerage houses, mortgage money lenders, sports and others that gripe me. Some have made rather pointed arguments for each of these open hands, but is it legal, is it right?

The collective psychosis currently gripping many of our leaders could be taking us down the tubes. There is only so much water in the trough, so much illustrious pie to go around. When you borrow money from future generations to pay for today, you are only increasing and prolonging the problems.

If we go under and leave the world in dire straights, the Baby Boomers will be given the blame. Since I am a Baby Boomer such blame would only pour more salt into my wounds. Personally, I hate to single out any generation, or other group, except for those leaders who have been led astray by greed, their own quests for power, and egos.

While we fume, please keep it between the lines.

As a "Baby Boomer" myself, Edward Allen, I must remind you that B.O. (B.S.) comes from the generation after us. Most of the ACORN criminals are even younger. And the monetary psychos in Washington D.C. who are going along with the insanity are considerably older than Baby Boomers. Some of them having been in office since we were in grade school!

So don't worry! If there is a country left when they get through wasting all our money, we won't be as much to blame as others. Not one Republican signed this accursed bill. So let's get the tar and feathers ready for when it all caves in and sharpen our pencils for the next election!

Thanks for the good counsel. The reason I singled out our generation is because we are already seeing this blame posting by the MSM.

Enjoy your day.

You're welcome, Edward Allen. The MSM is so afraid of offending their "Messiah" they won't even mention his generation. LOL How pathetic can they get?
